Banana Protein Balls
I have been trying to come up with a protein balls recipe for a few years now as it is an incredibly easy snack to make in bulk, tastes delicious and is also filling. After many years of trying new and different things, I have come up with a recipe that my partner even raves about (I sometimes don't even get to have any from my batch since he eats them all before I get the chance).
Take them for a test yourself!
INGREDIENTS:
3 Ripe Bananas, Mashed
1 Cup Rolled Oats (I find the large flakes work best)
¼ Cup Almond Butter
¼ Cup Hemp Hearts
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
1 Tablespoon Flaxseeds
1 Dash Sea Salt
1 Scoop of Protein Powder (optional, the hemp hearts provide a lot of good protein already)
DIRECTIONS:
- Pre-heat oven to 350° F
- Mash the bananas with a fork
- Add in all of the ingredients except for the Oats
- Add in Oats slowly making sure to combine everything (this should form thick mixture that holds well together. If it feels a little 'mushy' but can still form a ball or looks more like a cookie when you place it on the pan this is fine, it will stick together once baked)
- Form small balls (I like to do bite size but you can make them bigger if you prefer).
- Bake for 15 minutes
ENJOY!
